While working as a, surgical assistant, clinical manager, and studying in a pre-medicine program, Jen realized that there was something missing in her study and practice of Conventional Medicine. This led her to a deep interest in treating root cause and the beginning of a new educational journey. Jen went on to earn her degree in Oriental Medicine from East West College of Natural Medicine. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Professional Health Sciences as well as a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. However, that wasn’t the extent of her education- she went on to become board certified in Biomedicine, Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Nutrigenomics. She is certified in Acupoint Injection and IV therapy with the use of vitamins, minerals, and homeopathic medicine to help her patients receive total body care.
Jen has attended Functional Medicine University, The Institute for Functional Medicine, and is now pursuing her passion in Genetics moving forward to earn her Ph.D. in Medical Genetics. Jen has special interest in genetics and hormones utilizing functional medicine-based testing such as DNA testing, saliva-based hormone testing, microbiome testing, food allergy/sensitivities, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies to get to the root cause of health issues. She also has interest in pediatric conditions that apply to genetics such as ADD, ADHD, Tourette’s, etc…
Jen Myers is also the doctor and formulator for Sunwarrior, a plant-based protein company, where she works with Research and Development and the Sales team to create products and educate.
Jen’s goal is to bridge the gap between eastern and western medicine by utilizing the wisdom of ancient medicine and the discoveries of modern science. She employs a unique balance of functional medicine, genetics, and acupuncture where she is able to apply the most up-to-date medical research in a science-based approach to whole body healing while offering all the benefits and wisdom that oriental medicine holds.
